This air filter is located inside the engine bay, housed within the large, cylindrical air cleaner assembly (usually positioned on the passenger side). Unlike flat panel filters, this filter element is inserted vertically or horizontally into the housing and secured with a heavy-duty lid to create a complete seal against dust.
